PETRONAS TWIN TOWER

Petronas Twin tower is said to be the longest twin skyscrapers in the entire world. Both the towers are connected with the help of a sky bridge which gives you a marvellous view of the entire KL garden park. The sky bridge is connecting the 41st and the 42nd floors of both the towers. A total of 88 floors are there in both the buildings. The top of the twin towers converges in a conical shape, making it look iconic in every sense.

KUALA LUMPUR TOWER

Completed in 1995, the KL tower measures 421 meters in the height, thereby marking itself as the seventh tallest free-standing building. If you look down from the extreme top of the building, you will get a magnificent view of the entire city of Kuala Lumpur. There is a rotating restaurant which will offer you a panoramic view of the surrounding, an observation deck, and a mall with cascading swimming pools.

KL RAILWAY STATION

Located in the Southeast direction of the National Malaysian mosque, this structure resembles a palace from the fairy tales which you used to fantasize in your childhood days. The architecture is a combination of both the eastern and the western culture, making it a unique landmark in the entire city. However, the dominant architecture style is the Victorian one as you can clearly witness from the white painted walls of the place.

SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BLD

This building was initially built to represent the British houses during the colonial era. A nice looking coppery colored dome sits on the top of the building along with a forty-metre tall clock tower. This building is the landmark for Independence Day celebrations, parades, and many other local festivities. The Malaysian flag is hoisted on the top of the building, symbolizing the democratic nature of Malaysia.

PUTRA MOSQUE

Completed in the year 1999, this is the main mosque of the Putra district of Kuala Lumpur. Alongside this religious architecture, you will have the Perdana Putra which is the house of the Prime Minister and the artificial Putrajaya Lake. The structure was constructed using the rose-colored granite, making it look like a pink-domed landmark in the city. The entire building is segregated into three different compartments- the prayer hall, the Sahn and the learning rooms.

ISTANA BUDAYA  

Istana Budaya is the primal place of entertainment of the Malay people as well as of the foreign tourists who visit the place to have a taste of the rich KL culture. The major functions, which are usually organized in this building, are the musical theatre, opera, classical concerts, and the operetta. Around 1412 people can sit in the entire entertainment building for the functions.

Kuala Lumpur city gallery is the place where you can have a lifetime experience of witnessing the magnificent history and culture of Kuala Lumpur. MERDEKA SQUARE

Merdeka Square is the oldest Anglican structure in the entire city of Kuala Lumpur. In the center portion of the landmark, there stands the tallest flagpole on which the Malaysian flag is hoisted. The entire surrounding is covered with posh, green fields. A giant TV screen is also there beside the flagpole where different kinds of advertisements are shown.

NATIONAL SCIENCE CENTRE

National Science Centre is the best place to experience your childhood days when you used to learn the various facts about science and it’s different branches. An overhead freshwater tank is present in this building which is the marine habitat of thirty-two different species of fish. With a dome-shaped top, astronomical shows are popular in this architectural landmark.

KL NATIONAL MONUMENT

This monumental architecture is located in the northern part of the Lake Garden of the Jalan Parliament. The statue is solely dedicated to the eleven thousand martyrs who died fighting in the first world war, the second world war, and the emergency between the Malayan and the Japanese governments. This is the world’s tallest free-standing bronze statue where the seven soldiers are supporting their dying comrades and yet fighting bravely. Each soldier depicts a particular quality- courage, leadership, sacrifice, strength, suffering, unity, and vigilance.

NATIONAL VISUAL ART GALLERY

In this visual art gallery, you will find the majestic works of both local and foreign artists. Almost two thousand and five hundred artistic works grace the building. The building has three floors and a total of seven galleries. Also, there is an outdoor exhibition area and a cafeteria. The architecture is the mix of both the modern architecture and the original Malay architecture. This place is the official venue for all types of art exhibition and other arts festivals.
